About Us

Your Community Council in Torrance is made up of 7 committee members and a growing number of other members from across our Village.

Together we are working to make ourselves known throughout the community and gather your views and ideas on how we make our village a better place to live.

We work in partnership with other Community groups in Torrance and with services and agencies in our local area.

Together we organise a number of events throughout the year and are active in raising issues with the local authority – East Dunbartonshire Council and other services on behalf of residents.

Community Police Officers and local councillors regularly attend our meetings to update us and to listen to our community’s views.

See what we have done so far.

You will know some of us and you are always welcome to join us at our meetings on the second Tuesday of the month, usually in the Community Centre – Schools Road, come and get to know us.

We meet at 7.15pm for 7.30 start and need you to add support and give us a voice.

As well as representing the community to the local authority, We facilitate a wide range of activities which promote the well-being of our village community. We bring local people together to help make things happen, and many work to protect and promote the identity of their community.

We advise, petition, influence and advocate for the areas of concern on behalf of our community

We are delivering on a range of projects and events to enhance our community for all residents of our village.
